Remember! Buy a "combined" British Rail/Ravenglass & Eskdale Rly ticket from any UK station or conductor and save £3 per adult (£1-50 per child) on the joint fare. Note - not available on Sundays.

Volunteer Vacancies!
Ever wanted to be a Station Master or a Guard?
The R&ER are always looking for volunteers to man a station or train as a guard, also train preparation teams which is ideal for a family group, or even assist the track gang maintaining the track!
Certain restrictions apply regarding age limits and mobility.

There is some fantastic places to visit within walking distance from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Late April and early May is the time for the Bluebells. This gallery contains pictures of the stunning Bluebell display at Muncaster Castle together with other pictures of the flora and fauna in and around Eskdale
After 29 years driving on the R&ER Ron Clarke hung up his grease-top hat. The pictures in this collection record his last day. Happy retirement Ron - and thank-you for all the help and advice you have given me.
